As an athlete, I had a clear goal and a system built around it. Discipline By Design™ was created to help you build that structure around one important goal.

BUILT-IN STRUCTURE

A clear goal. A plan around it.

The target was fixed. Coaching, training, and feedback created the structure.

Why Discipline By Design™ exists

Discipline should work in real life.

For years, I thought discipline meant one thing: train harder, push through, stay focused, and repeat. Elite sport often rewards that approach, but it has limits.

Twelve weeks before the trials for my second Olympic team, an injury forced my plan to change. More pressure could not solve the problem. The goal still mattered, but the plan around it had to adapt.

That experience shaped Discipline By Design™. People are not machines. Energy changes. Responsibilities compete. Plans break. A useful system has to work through that reality.

DBD combines what I learned as an Olympian with a practical way to solve problems. It helps you see why good intentions are not turning into action, then build a better system around one important goal.

What DBD believes

Calm standards.
Clear structure.
No shame.

You are not the problem to fix. The system needs work. You still take responsibility, but you do it without shame or hype.

01

Get clear first

It is hard to follow through when the goal is still vague.

DBD PRINCIPLE
02

Use a plan, not just motivation

Your feelings will change. A clear plan can still show you what to do.

DBD PRINCIPLE
03

Make action easier

Your schedule, rules, and surroundings should help you take the next step.

DBD PRINCIPLE
04

Return instead of restart

You do not need a perfect streak. You need a clear way to come back.

DBD PRINCIPLE
05

Build trust through action

Keeping small promises to yourself gives you real proof that you can follow through.

DBD PRINCIPLE
06

Focus on one important goal

One clear focus gives you progress that scattered effort cannot.
